Results! Week 6 NFL Picks Against the Point Spread

Week 6 produced disappointing results for the fiftytwopointfour picks against the pointspread, and encouraging results against the over/unders.

The bad:

1. The three half-star point-spread picks went 0-3 for the week
2. All point-spread picks went 5-8-1.
3. The Jaguars pick was nearly a full-star pick, predicting the Jags would beat the Texans by 6 points, but the game wasn’t even as close as the 31-20 Texans’ winning score would appear.  Bad computer, bad.

The good:

1. The two half-star over/under picks went 2-0 for the week
2. All over/under picks went 9-5.
3. The points spread picks are still over 52.4% win rate goal for the season, albeit barely: 53.3% for the full-star plus half-star picks, 53.4% for all games
4. The over/under picks are well over the 52.% win rate goal for the season: 100% for the full-star plus half-star picks, 62.0% for all games
5. Of the 5 weeks making picks for the 2015 season, every week has produced a .500 over/under result or better!  Week 7 picks coming tomorrow. Let’s keep the streak alive!
